Mare Nostrum in Tenerife has 13 restaurants: Relish the wide
range of culinary delicacies on offer in the large selection
of restaurants, from regional to international specialities,
prepared to the highest standards by each Mare Nostrum resort
trained chef.
Canario
Regional specialities served in a warm ambiance, with live
music. Main Courses: Puchero Canario (traditional stews with
a combination of ingredients), cheese, mixed grill, garbanzas
de pescado (fish). Main Courses: fish and seafood, fritura
de pescado (fried fish). Desserts: Buñuelos de plátano
y almendras (fritters topped with banana and almonds, torta
mil hojas (layer cake filled with sweet cheese and quince)
Argentina
One of the tastiest meats in the world. Cuisine from the other
side of the Atlantic with live music! Starters: matambritos
de pollo (chicken), Empanadilla criolla (small pastry). Main
courses: Quitilipi chicken, bifes de lomo o de costilla (steak
dish), mixed grill. Desserts: Panqueque de dulce de leche
(Argentinian pancake with caramel)
Spain
Authentic Spanish cuisine. Starters: Cazuela de gambas al
ajillo (Shimps cook with a garlic sauce in a terracotta pot),
Pimientos de piquillo rellenos con bacalao (stuffed baby Piquillo
red peppers). Main courses: Filete de res al queso de Cabrales
(fillet of steak topped with a Spanish blue cheese sauce),
cordero asado al estilo Segovia (roast lamb). Desserts: Tarta
de Santiago (Galician Almond Tart), crema catalana (Catalan
cream)

Mamma mía! The ever-popular Italian cuisine with live
music. Starters: Carpaccio de solomillo al Parmesano (free
range Italian beef), Lasagne verde (vegetarian Lasagne), Spaghetti
fruti di mari. Main Courses: Solomillo de buey al parmesano
(Beef tenderloin with Parmesan cheese), Ossobuco de ternera
estofado en gremolata. Desserts: Mouse de Ricota al sabor

Ándale, ándale! Mexican Cuisine with a mariachi
band. Starters: Tacos Bandera (Tacos on Bandera), chilaquiles
con salsa roja (chilaquiles with a red sauce). Main courses:
Camarones al tequila (Shrimp in tequila), Carne Tampiqueña
(Tampico club steak). Desserts: Crepas de cajeta (milk caramel
pancakes), Mousse de mango
Russia
Delicious caviar specialities with the enchanting sound of
the violin. Starters: Tartar de salmon aderezado (Salmon tartar),
Blini con huevas de salmón y arenque (Blini with salmon
huevas and herring). Main Courses: Rape al eneldo (Eneldo
fish), Steak Tartare de solomillo. Desserts: sopa de frambuesa
(raspberry soup), meringue con mermelada (meringue with marmalade)
Taberna Andaluz
Authentic tapas! (served inside or outside). Montaditos (small
slice of bread with a topping), Tablas (with cheese or cured
ham), varied omelettes and fried dishes (squid, croquettes).
Starters: Gazpacho (cold vegetable soup of Andalusia), Salads.
Main courses: Albóndigas a la cazadora, conejo al ajillo
(rabbit sautéed in garlic), chocos a la parrilla. Desserts:

food served in an atmosphere of intimacy. Starters: Foie en
escabeche balsámico (marinated liver), Ensalada tibia
con queso de cabra (Salad with goat's cheese). Main Courses:
Asado de cordero (lamb roast), Rodaballo con setas y extracto
de marisco (Rodaballo with mushrooms and seafood). Desserts:
Mousse de chocolate amargo y crema fría de cacao (Chocolate
mousse), tartita de queso con miel (cheesecake with honey).
Traditional dishes: Merluza en consomé de legumbres
con almejas y jerez (Hake in consommé), asado de ternera
con milhojas de papas y echalots (beef roast with potatoes
and shallots). Traditional dishes of Tenerife: Cherne con
cilantro (cherne with cilantro), conejo confitado con papas
embarradas (confit of rabbit with potatoes)

Tentempiés (a light meal) eaten by the Mediterranean
swimming pool. The snack-bar was originally designed for children
because of the terrace. You can discover the tradition of
"picar" (to nibble): fresh salads, cooked pastry,
baguettes and sandwiches, ice-creams, juice. Starters: Gazpacho
(cold soup of Andalusia), Carpaccio de salmon, fried dish,
pasta and sauce. Main courses: Fish, Brocheta de pescado (fish
brochette)
Snack Bar Marco
Antonio
International cuisine served by the Roman swimming-pool (inside
or outside). "Bocatas": Sandwiches, beef hamburger,
bratwurst. Starters: salads, Carpaccio de solomillo (Beef),
lasagne verde (vegetable lasagne), melón con jamón
ibérico (melon with cured ham). Main courses: Langostinos
a la parrilla (grilled prawns), Entrecot de res a la parrilla
(grilled sirloin steak), escalope de ternera (veal escallop).
Desserts: creams, flan (egg custard), macedonia (fruit salad).
La Piramide
Enjoy a wonderful dinner with opera or live music with the
incredible atmosphere of the pyramid of Arona. Starters: tropical
salad with prawns, Beef Carpaccio, Assiette de salmón
ahumado (smoked salmon platter), Tagliatelle with salmon and
prawns. Main courses: Lenguado a las finas hierbas (sole with
herbs), solomillo de buey Rossini (ox sirloin), Filete Mignon
a la pimienta verde (boiled filet mignon), Confit de pato
(duck confit). Desserts: Pirámide de chocolate al After
